Masterlink incorporates the database of Cycle-Mate and adds a powerful and easy-to-use estimatics platform, which allows you to effectively and efficiently compose and output a motorcycle, scooter, all terrain vehicle, utility vehicle, or personal watercraft collision damage estimate.

Masterlink is comprised of a series of file folder tabs. Begin by clicking FILE in the main menu and choose OPEN A NEW ESTIMATE from the dropdown menu and a series of tabs will appear as shown here. Begin with the first tab CLAIM and complete the required fields. If COLLISION is chosen as the type of loss, fill in the applicable deductible located on the bottom right of the folder. |

Fill in the appropriate information. You can manually enter it or search your custom database of repairers which you entered in the configuration section. Should the repair fascility be the same as the fascility which the vehicle was inspected at, simply click on the INSPECTED button to fill these fields automatically. |

The next tab is INSURANCE. Complete the required fields here as well. |

If the owner is the same as the insured simply click the INSURED button on the bottom right of this folder and the information will be duplicated. This saves typing in the same information again. |

This folder allows you to choose a vehicle. Simply click the CHOOSE button and select a company e.g. Honda, Kawasaki, etc. then select the appropriate model. Upon completion, manually fill in the the remaining fields. |

Click the RATES tab here and fill in the rates as they apply in your area. If you do not wish to do this every time you may set these rates as a default by opening CONFIGURATION in the main menu and choose DEFAULTS. Here is where to set the rates so they will appear every time you open a new estimate. You may now skip this tab. |

The ITEMS folder is where you will compose your estimate. You will note at the bottom of the estimate a series of buttons beginning with EDIT and ending with CLEAR. The use of these buttons enable the appraiser to enter or edit data in the estimate. |

For example, clicking the OEM MASTERLINK button, (refer to screen above) opens the Graphics Navigation window. The vehicle part illustrations of the selected vehicle category are displayed. Holding the cursor over the call-out button to the right displays the vehicle part information for the corresponding part illustration call-out item. Single-clicking the desired call-out button selects the corresponding part and enables functions located at the top of the Graphics Navigation window such as part-interchange guide, or copy part information etc. Double-clicking the desired call-out button inserts the part information into the estimate sheet as indicated. The items can also be edited as desired. |

If you are more familiar with the Classic Items window, click the toggle button to change viewing modes between the Graphics Navigation window and the Classic Items window. From here, simply double click the desired item and it will be placed in the estimate sheet as indicated. The items can then be edited as desired. |

Once the estimate is complete click the TOTALS tab for a recap summary of the estimate. Factored into the totals summary will be deductibles, betterment, allowances,if any, and the owner’s and insurance company’s liability as it bears to the total amount. |

Should you desire to attach a memo to the estimate, open the MEMO folder and type your memo. |
